Oman’s FSA unveils capital market stimulus package

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has announced a comprehensive incentive programme aimed at boosting Oman’s capital market and fostering economic growth.

MUSCAT : The incentive programme, announced at an ongoing press conference, is designed to enhance the investment and business landscape in Oman.

Attended by key government entities including the National Programme for Fiscal Sustainability and Financial Sector Development (Estidamah), the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and the Muscat Stock Exchange, the press conference is highlighting a range of measures to stimulate investment and business activity.

The programme includes incentives for companies to transition into public joint-stock companies and list on the Muscat Stock Exchange, the creation of ‘Promising Companies Market’ with associated benefits, and support for converting limited liability companies into closed public joint-stock companies.

The programme is designed to provide diverse financing options for businesses of all sizes, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises.
