Muscat: In a recent study by Travelbag, Muscat has emerged as a global nighttime gem, ranking third among the world’s most scenic cities after dark. The ranking places the Omani capital ahead of renowned cities such as Singapore, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and New York City.

Dubai and Tokyo claimed the top two spots for their spectacular nighttime allure, with Dubai’s iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Garden Glow leading the way. Tokyo’s vibrant cityscape, highlighted by attractions like the Tokyo Skytree, secured its second-place position.

Muscat’s nocturnal charm is underscored by the opulent Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM), the lively Muttrah Souq, and the dramatic silhouettes of its historic Portuguese forts, Mirani and Jalali. These landmarks and its serene nightscapes contribute to the city’s stunning after-dark appeal.

Travelbag, known for its expertise in multi-destination trips, conducted the study to highlight the world’s most enchanting cities at night.
