MUSCAT : The airport witnessed approximately 628,951 passengers between January and June, marking an impressive 11 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth was driven by both domestic and international travel.

Domestic flights saw a remarkable 13.5 percent rise, with a total of 2,213 flights operated. International arrivals also experienced a positive trend, with a 2.3 percent increase in flight numbers, reaching 2,475.

Several factors have contributed to this substantial growth. The ongoing development of the airport’s infrastructure and improved passenger services have enhanced the overall travel experience. Additionally, the thriving tourism sector in Dhofar Governorate, particularly during the khareef season, has attracted a significant influx of visitors.
