GCC Advisory Board holds virtual meet to discuss energy security, youth protection

The Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held its third meeting of the 27th session today, August 8, via video conference.

Muscat – During the meeting, the Board reviewed a series of reports presented by its various committees, focusing on key issues impacting the Gulf region.

Among the topics discussed were strategies for enhancing energy security within the region, including exploring technical alternatives and new systems. The Board also addressed the ongoing challenge of protecting youth from drug abuse and addiction, with a comprehensive strategy aimed at mitigating this pressing issue.

The Advisory Board examined methods to safeguard the growth of emerging markets in the Gulf from the adverse effects of global economic fluctuations.

The discussion also included a range of new proposals, which will be forwarded to the Supreme Council for further consideration and study.

The meeting underscored the GCC’s commitment to addressing critical regional challenges and formulating strategies to enhance the stability and development of its member states.
