MUSCAT : The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman has issued a statement clarifying a recent social media video that sparked controversy. The video, featuring a guest who stayed at a hotel in Dhofar Governorate from August 1 to 6, 2024, claimed issues with the accommodation.

The Ministry confirmed that the hotel provided all standard amenities and services without significant problems during the guest’s stay.

“The Ministry followed the video clip circulating on social media platforms of a guest in one of the hotel facilities in the Dhofar Governorate, who and his companions booked 10 hotel units in the period from 1 to August 6 2024, and all the usual facilities were provided to them by the hotel facility without any significant problem until they left, and therefore it calls upon The Ministry must ensure accuracy and credibility in conveying information before publishing and circulating it.

The Ministry also renews its invitation to citizens and visitors to Dhofar Governorate to contact the designated number to submit comments and complaints about hotel services at the following number,” mentioned the Ministry through its official account of X.
