Oman along with GCC experts, tackles corruption at key meeting

MUSCAT : The State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority actively participated in the 33rd meeting of the GCC Committee of Experts on Combating Corruption, held virtually on Tuesday, August 6. The meeting brought together specialists from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, alongside representatives from the General Secretariat, to advance efforts in promoting integrity and combating corruption.

A key highlight of the session was reviewing the General Secretariat’s memorandum regarding the inaugural GCC Award for Research and Studies in Integrity Protection and Anti-Corruption. The meeting confirmed the results of the evaluation process for the research submitted, showcasing the region’s commitment to advancing knowledge and strategies in this crucial field.

Additionally, the committee discussed updates to the mechanism for reviewing draft regulations and guides, which aims to enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures across GCC countries.
