MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has introduced a new initiative that reimburses the costs of obtaining professional certifications in the fields of communications and IT.

This program is designed to motivate national cadres, entrepreneurs, and job seekers to pursue accredited qualifications, improving their expertise in high-demand areas.

The initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness of Omani professionals in both existing and new job roles and raise the efficiency of workers across the public and private sectors.

By financially supporting individuals who achieve these specialized certifications, the Ministry hopes to encourage more Omani citizens to advance their qualifications and contribute to the country’s development.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be Omani citizens and fall within the targeted groups.
The certification must be related to one of the designated technologies.
The certification must have been obtained in 2024.
Applicants must acknowledge that their employer will not cover the certification costs if they are employed in either the public or private sector.
Only one certification per person will be reimbursed annually.
