Muscat – As per the forecast, the Dhofar governorate and its adjoining mountains will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with intermittent drizzle and the possibility of isolated rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms.
The rest of the country can expect partly to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain of varying intensity. The Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas are particularly at risk of heavy rain, accompanied by strong downdraft winds and hail.
Low-level clouds or fog patches are likely along parts of the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea coastlines, while dust is expected to rise over desert and open areas.
The department has issued a warning about reduced visibility due to dust, fog, and rain, urging motorists to exercise caution.
