CAIRO: The accident claimed the lives of all family members except a ten-year-old child.
The embassy, in a statement via Twitter, reported that upon receiving news of the tragic accident from Egyptian security authorities, a team from the embassy was dispatched to the site, located 380 kilometers from Cairo.
In the early hours of this morning, the child was safely transported to Cairo under the care of diplomat Mahfouz Al-Ghazili. The embassy has confirmed that arrangements for the child’s transfer back to Oman will be made once doctors confirm his ability to travel. The child will be accompanied by a member of the embassy to ensure his safety and comfort.
