Muscat: Oman Airports commits to providing top-notch facilities for all operators and visitors during the Sultanate’s peak tourist seasons, especially the Dhofar Khareef and winter seasons.
Zakaria bin Yaqoub Al Harrasi, Vice President of Salalah Airport, highlighted the surge in tourism activity in the Dhofar Governorate during the Khareef season, noting a remarkable 11 per cent increase in passenger traffic at Salalah Airport compared to the same period last year.
Al Harris also revealed that the number of international airlines operating at Salalah Airport had reached 10, offering direct flights from 18 destinations during the Dhofar Khareef season. The airport management has been committed to operating efficiently since the beginning of the year and is now gearing up for the winter season.

In collaboration with strategic partners, Oman Airports has launched the “Travel Easier” service, a new and exceptional free service for all visitors to Dhofar via Salalah Airport. This service features a dedicated hall adjacent to the airport’s air cargo building, where passengers can complete travel procedures, drop off their bags, and receive their boarding passes between 12 and 6 hours before departure. The service, available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., aims to enhance the travel experience for all airlines operating at Salalah Airport.
