Oman Investment Authority launches 2nd edition of graduate employment program

Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and its subsidiaries have launched the 2nd edition of ‘Mu’tamad’, the on-job training program, to employ and develop Omani graduates in finance and accounting.

MUSCAT : The program aims to help participants obtain one of two certifications: the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

Mu’tamad is a distinguished employment and development initiative specifically designed to target Omani finance and accounting graduates. This comprehensive and thorough program effectively bridges the gap between academic credentials, such as ACCA and CFA, and practical application in the professional world. It provides graduates with essential and critical knowledge, advanced skills, and valuable practical experiences to thrive and excel in their careers, while promoting professional and personal growth.

The program aims to develop national competencies, bridge the gap between labor market needs and professional specializations and establish Omani leaders in the fields of finance and accounting.

Program helps graduates to obtain internationally recognized professional certifications, promises employment opportunities at OIA and its subsidiaries, develops personal and leadership skills, offers valuable practical experience in a real work environment filled with challenges and learn opportunities and ensures job rotation and professional mentoring.

Admission requirements for the program are:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Economics, finance or accounting.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.7.

    Duration: 3 years for the ACCA certification 4 years for the CFA certification
