MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Wednesday rescued four people from drowning in the Wilayat of Seeb, while a fifth person was found dead.
In a statement issued, ROP said the incident happened while they were swimming in the Al-Safinat area in the Wilayat of Seeb.
“The Royal Oman Police advises beachgoers to follow marine safety rules, exercise caution, monitor children while swimming, avoid the dangers, follow the guidelines that warn against swimming in some locations where rip currents form, and stay away from places,” the statement added.
