MUSCAT : To support businesses and institutions, the Environment Authority has announced that starting Thursday, August 1, 2024, companies and institutions will be exempted from fines related to the delay in renewing environmental permits, provided they renew their permits during this period.
The exemption period runs until October 1, 2024, and the Environment Authority encourages all beneficiaries to take advantage of this opportunity to correct and document their conditions promptly.
The Environment Authority also warns that after the exemption period expires, all legal measures will be enforced against non-compliant entities.
