Muscat – The ROP is urging motorists visiting Dhofar khareef to ensure that the number plates are clean and clearly visible at all times.

Failure to comply with these regulations is a serious traffic violation that will result in penalties. Drivers are reminded that clear number plates are essential for road safety and law enforcement.
In addition to vehicle cleanliness, the ROP has also issued warnings about child safety and reckless driving behaviors, such as allowing children out of car windows or sunroofs and parading or drifting in unauthorized areas.

Highlighting the dangers of allowing children to stick their heads or bodies out of the sunroof or windows of moving vehicles, the ROP warned that such actions expose children to unexpected road hazards and significant risks.

The advisory also addresses the issue of parading or drifting in unauthorized areas, warning that such activities endanger both the driver and the public. The ROP stressed that anyone found performing stunts or displays with their vehicle on public roads or in non-designated areas will face legal consequences. Offenders may be punished with imprisonment for up to three months, a fine of up to RO 500, or both.
