Muscat – The project, assigned to a contractor in July 2023, has encountered delays due to additional work necessary for more effective damage treatment.
In a statement issued to clarify the delay, the municipality stated that the contractor has requested an extension to complete the project, which has been reviewed and approved by the projects team and referred to the competent authority in the governorate.
Reclamation work at the affected site was completed two weeks ago and is awaiting approval to protect the falajs affected by the project.
In addition, the contractor has been instructed to enhance traffic safety measures in the Shula area, ensuring compliance with approved standards, the ministry indicated.
