MUSCAT : The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Bangkok has revealed a significant travel update for Omani citizens. As of July 15, 2024, Omanis are entitled to a visa exemption for entry and residence in Thailand for up to 60 days. This policy can be extended for an additional 30 days, subject to the discretion of Thai immigration officers.
For those needing to stay longer for necessary, urgent, or temporary work, a notification must be made in person at any international airport or labour office in Thailand. This process, which takes one business day, can only be completed after entering Thailand and must be concluded within 15 days.
The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlined 16 types of work eligible for this notification, including:
