Muscat: The third Khareef Dhofar Taekwondo Championship kicked off today. Organized by the Elite Academy for Martial Arts in cooperation with the Oman Taekwondo Committee and supervised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

Approximately 220 male and female athletes from the Sultanate of Oman, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates have gathered to compete in the championship. This diverse assembly of talent aims to enhance players’ skills, elevate their technical levels, and identify top performers who will represent Oman in international competitions.

The championship, running until Saturday, features a variety of games designed to test and improve the abilities of all participants. It serves as a crucial platform for players to showcase their talents and for the technical staff of the national teams to scout and select the best athletes for future representation of the Sultanate.
