Search on for 16-member crew of oil tanker that capsized off Oman coast

A search and rescue operation is underway following the capsizing of a Comoros-flagged oil tanker southeast of Ras Madrakah

Muscat – According to the Oman Maritime Security Centre, the vessel, identified as the ‘Prestige Falcon’, went down approximately 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah in the Wilayat of Duqm.
The crew, consisting of 16 people – 13 of Indian nationality and three of Sri Lankan nationality – is currently missing.
The Maritime Security Centre has mobilized joint search and rescue operations to locate the missing crew members.
