Oman’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka presents credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador to Maldives  

H.E. Ahmed bin Ali Al Rashdi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, presented his credentials as Oman’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives.

Muscat – The Ambassador presented his credentials to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, in a ceremony held in the capital city of Male.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Al Rashdi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, extending His Majesty’s wishes for the good health and happiness of President Muizzu and further progress and prosperity to the Maldivian people.

He expressed the Omani government’s keenness to strengthen the distinguished bilateral relations between Oman and Maldives, emphasizing the importance of advancing cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.

In response, the Maldives President reciprocated the greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people, expressing his gratitude for Oman’s continued support and friendship. He welcomed Ambassador Al Rashdi and expressed confidence in the continued progress and prosperity of bilateral relations under his stewardship.

Following the credential presentation, Ambassador Al Rashdi met with H.E. Moosa Zameer, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives. They discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and explored avenues for further collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
