Dr. Kavitha Ramakrishna honours Rudaina Al-Hujaria with unique Omani jewelry in Tanjore painting

Dr. Kavitha Ramakrishna, a renowned yoga practitioner, Sanskrit exponent, philanthropist, and cultural ambassador for Oman and India, presented a unique Omani jewelry in Tanjore painting to Rudaina Al-Hujaria, President of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association.

Muscat – Rudaina bint Amer Al-Hajri, an influential figure in the cultural and historical spheres, has an impressive list of accomplishments. She is the founder and president of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Council, which was officially announced by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in March 2022. Her leadership in this council highlights her dedication to fostering strong ties between Oman and Bahrain.
Al-Hujaria is also celebrated for her pioneering roles in various prestigious organizations. She is the first Omani woman to become a member of the executive office of the Arab Organization of Museums and is a respected member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Her expertise and contributions extend to her role as the first Omani woman member of the GCC Society of History and Antiquities since 2006.
In 2022, she was elected as an alternate member on the Board of Directors of this society, marking another milestone in her illustrious career.
Her dedication to sports and culture is further evidenced by her former membership in the Omani Olympic Committee, where she led the Women and Society Committee established by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth.
Additionally, Al-Hujaria serves as the Director of the Saidia School Museum for Education, bringing over 20 years of experience in museum management and education.
The presentation of the Omani jewelry in Tanjore painting by Dr. Ramakrishna is a testament to the deep cultural connections and mutual respect between these two accomplished women. The event underscores the importance of cultural exchanges and the shared heritage that binds Oman and India.
