Muscat: According to recent statistics released by the Central Bank of Oman, the total assets of Islamic banks and windows now constitute 17.7 per cent of Oman’s banking sector’s total assets.
The data further reveals a 12 per cent rise in the total financing balance provided by these institutions, totalling RO 6.3 billion by April 2024.
Moreover, deposits at Islamic banks and windows saw a notable increase of 15.9 per cent, reaching approximately RO 5.8 billion by the same period.
