Oman’s South Al Batinah Governorate inks 10 investment deals worth RO 7.5 million

The Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah signed 10 investment contracts totaling over RO 7.5 million, aimed at boosting the local economy and providing diverse investment opportunities across the governorate’s wilayats.

MUSCAT : The contracts encompass a range of projects, including one with Sohar Livestock and Meat Company LLC to establish a central livestock market in the Wilayat of Barka, covering 104,583 square meters at a cost of approximately RO 4 million.


Another significant contract was signed with Al Asaad Modern Foundation to establish a camp and youth camp in Barka, spanning 30,393 square meters and costing an estimated RO 250,000.

Additionally, Golden Sands Transport and Services Company will invest in an industrial project on a plot of land in Saqsouq Square, Barka, covering 32,162 square meters at an estimated cost of RO 1,881,643.
In the Wilayat of Rustaq, Rawafed Al Hadara Al Mutamayza Foundation will manage and operate a multipurpose hall in Al Iraqi Square, built on 954 square meters with an estimated cost of RO 99,000. Sakhaa International Foundation will manage and operate a building in Ain Al Kasfa Square, which includes shops, a restaurant, and a platform building, covering 1,200 square meters at a cost of RO 452,235.

In the Wilayat of Al Musannah, Malik bin Khamis Al Harrasi Trading Establishment will invest in a vegetable market in Al Tarif Market, covering 883 square meters at a cost of RO 60,000. Afaq Sony Trading and Contracting Company LLC will invest in an industrial land in Al Mulda Square, spanning 10,004 square meters at an estimated cost of RO 250,000.

Furthermore, Souq Majan Discounts LLC will manage and operate a hypermarket in Souq Al Mughsir, covering 3,200 square meters at an estimated cost of RO 400,000, aiming to provide more shopping options for the residents.

In Wadi Al Maawil, Al Moatasem Business Company will invest in the large squares of Wadi Al Maawil market, each covering 336 square meters, at a cost of RO 84,000.

To enhance digital services, Mithaq Al Hayat Trading Company will install digital screens on bridges across the governorate’s wilayats at an estimated cost of RO 80,000.

H.E. Eng. Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah, stated that these investment contracts are part of efforts to develop the local economy and create a supportive investment environment that meets investors’ aspirations, provides job opportunities, and improves services. He emphasized the commitment to supporting and facilitating these projects to achieve these goals.

His Excellency also stressed the importance of involving youth and employing job seekers in South Al Batinah to ensure the local community benefits from these investments, promoting sustainable development.
