MUSCAT : As per the announcement, businesses in Oman can now launch their promotional campaigns without the Ministry’s prior permission.
This initiative aims to invigorate local markets, boost competitiveness among businesses, and ensure affordable pricing for consumers.
Key conditions for these offers include:
- Discounts offered should not exceed 30 percent.
- Promotional offers and discounts can be held for a maximum of 3 consecutive days per week.
- Each establishment can organize such promotions up to 3 times within a single calendar month.
Commercial entities intending to offer discounts or promotions are only required to notify the Consumer Protection Authority via email at CSDG@pacp.gov.om.
