Central Market in Mawaleh will continue to serve individual retail customers: Muscat Municipality

Muscat – Continuing the cooperation between Muscat Municipality and Fruits and Vegetables Central Market (Silal), and in light of the ongoing preparations for the transfer of central storage and wholesale activities to the new market in Khazaen Economic City, the Municipality announced its intent to continue operations at Mawaleh market.
In a statement issued, the Municipality said, “On June 29, the wholesale trading activities will commence at SILAL Market in Khazaen Economic City. Consequently, all wholesale markets and the main shed at Mawaleh Market will be permanently closed.
“The Central Fruits and Vegetables Market in Al Mawaleh will continue to serve individual retail customers (Retail Markets). Light vehicles can enter the market through Gate No. 2 from Saturday to Thursday, between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM,” it added.
