Muscat – “We observed a substantial drop in blood donors at the Central Blood Bank in Bousher last week. While the existing inventory remains stable for now, the persistent decline in donors, exceeding 70 percent, raises concerns about our ability to meet future demand,” the DBBS stated.
The DBBS emphasizes the critical role of regular blood donations in ensuring a safe and sufficient blood supply for patients in need. It urges the public to take a proactive approach by scheduling regular blood donations every three to four months.
The Central Blood Bank (Bausher) welcomes blood and platelet donors during the following hours:
Saturday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
