Muscat: Liwa in Oman reached a record-breaking 49.2ºC, making it the hottest spot in the Sultanate in the last 24 hours.
Temperatures were recorded in other areas, with Suhar, Shinas, and Fahud each recording temperatures of 48.9ºC. Not far behind, Sunaynah experienced 48.7ºC, while Hamra ad Duru, Sur, and Qurayyat all recorded 48.5ºC.
