Muscat – Various community events and activities in sports, culture, and social fields are accompanying the festivities.

In the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, several villages and wilayats are experiencing a surge in commercial activity. The wilayat of Ibra has initiated open markets and consumer tents, drawing significant interest from shoppers, both locals and visitors.

Specialized markets in North Al Sharqiyah have seen substantial demand in recent days. These markets showcase small and medium enterprises and artisans, highlighting craft industries and offering products and services. They also have stalls selling ready-made clothes, perfumes, household supplies, and Omani cuisine.

In the South Al Batinah Governorate, the municipality department in Nakhal is preparing for Eid al Adha by intensifying activities in various villages and commercial and tourist areas. Preparations are underway for Eid activities next to the historic Nakhal Fort.

Khamis bin Salem Al Balushi, Director of the Municipality Department in Nakhal, stated that the department is ensuring readiness by organizing an intensive program for the municipal slaughterhouse with three slaughter periods. “We are also supervising the cleanliness of tourist sites, particularly in Ain Al Thuwara and other tourist attractions,” he explained.

Al Balushi added that the municipality is organizing suitable places for vendors and preparing a health and food monitoring program. Entertainment events are being planned at Nakhal Fort and the municipal park during Eid.

In Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, the Municipality of Al Dakhiliyah is enhancing preparations for Eid al Adha. Efforts include public cleaning, traditional markets, and Eid activities.

Suleiman bin Hamad Al Sunaidi, Director General of the Municipality of Al Dakhiliyah, noted, “We have intensified health preparations in slaughterhouses and inspection work on food establishments. Awareness activities on the importance of municipal slaughterhouses, disease prevention, and general hygiene are being conducted, alongside Eid festivals targeting all community segments.”

The comprehensive preparations and diverse displays across Oman are set to ensure a vibrant and joyful Eid al-Adha celebration for all.
