MUSCAT : The visit included a meeting with H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, as part of the CPA’s initiative to enhance cooperation with the consumer community and monitor CPA operations.
The visit coincided with preparations for the Dhofar Khareef season and Eid Al Adha. H.E. Al Hakmani and H.E. Al Ghassani discussed collaboration on consumer-related issues, market monitoring, and preparations for the tourist season. They emphasized the importance of coordination between service, administrative, and technical sectors to ensure a successful tourist season and improve consumer experiences.
CPA Chairman presented CPA’s efforts, services, and supervisory activities, highlighting community initiatives, awareness campaigns, and 2023 statistical indicators. Discussions also covered promoting decentralization, simplifying procedures, and improving service quality.
During his visit, H.E. Al Hakmani toured local markets, assessing goods availability and compliance with consumer protection laws. He engaged with suppliers about fair pricing and quality standards, and listened to consumer feedback on goods availability and quality.
He also met with employees of the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar, praising their supervision efforts and urging them to enhance service efficiency for consumers’ benefit.
