Muscat: Oman’s compliance index from 60.47% to an impressive 95.95%, surpassing 127 countries and securing second place in the Gulf region.

The Erteqaa Program, introduced by the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman, aimed to overhaul and enhance the country’s aviation safety oversight system. The program’s implementation has led to a dramatic increase in the compliance index, reflecting significant improvements across eight critical sub-areas: Aviation Operations, Airworthiness, Aviation Accidents and Incidents, Civil Aviation Legislation, Air Navigation Safety, and Aviation Licensing.

This achievement marks a historic milestone for Oman, showcasing the nation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of aviation safety. The initiatives under the Erteqaa Program have elevated Oman to the fifth position globally and also to the second place regionally and within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
