Muscat – This initiative is part of a joint effort to ensure quality standards and best hotel services to guests, safeguarding the interests of both tourists and property owners.

SEKAA, a free platform, is designed to streamline the contractual relationship between tourists and the owners of residential units.

The platform aims to offer an integrated regulatory framework that guarantees the rights of both landlords and tenants. Registered owners of residential establishments on this platform will benefit from simplified registration and licensing procedures following the Khareef season.

The platform will ensure adherence to quality standards for residential rentals, facilitate registration and licensing processes for property owners, and provide an avenue for establishments to promote their services directly to guests.

The Ministry has also opened applications for temporary activity permits during the Khareef season. These permits are designated for Omani citizens and small and medium enterprises (holding a Riyada Card). Applications are accepted via the following link for a three-day window from the opening date: https://edm.gov.om
