Oman Air and SalamAir extend codeshare agreement to enhance travel options

Oman Air and Salam Air have announced the extension of their existing codeshare agreement, aimed at providing travelers with improved travel options and better connecting flights to and from the Sultanate.

MUSCAT : The decision was reached during a recent meeting between the two airlines’, where they also explored ways to enhance their future collaborations and reaffirmed their joint commitment to achieving tourism goals.

Commenting on the extension, Adrian Hamilton Manns, CEO of SalamAir, said, “The extension of the codeshare agreement with Oman Air reflects our joint commitment to providing an expanded network and exceptional service to passengers. Together, we look forward to aligning efforts with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and continuing joint endeavors towards strengthening the Sultanate’s position in the aviation sector. This initiative promotes Oman as a leading and attractive destination for tourists, significantly contributing to the Sultanate’s tourism objectives within Oman Vision 2040.”

Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, expressed his enthusiasm about the extension, stating: “This agreement will allow us to provide our traveling guests with more travel options and better flight timings, enriching their travel experiences. It supports the Sultanate’s ambitious plans in the tourism sector.”

Passengers can start booking their flights through a selection of Salam ir destinations connected to the Oman Air network starting July 4, 2024. Additional destinations will be added following the success of the initial phase, further expanding the travel options available to passengers.
