MUSCAT : The Authority stated that subscribers are entitled to financial compensation if meter readings are not taken according to its Guaranteed Standard of Service scheme.
Compensation Criteria:
Consumers are entitled to financial compensation of RO 20 if their meter is not read at least once every six months.
Consumers are entitled to financial compensation of RO 10 if the first reading of their new meter is not taken during the first or second reading cycle.
The Authority emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate meter readings to ensure customer satisfaction and accountability. Consumers are encouraged to report any issues related to meter readings to claim their compensation.
