MUSCAT : Cumulus clouds are expected to form over parts of the Hajar Mountains, with chances of scattered thunderstorms, sometimes accompanied by active downward winds.
These conditions are likely to cause dust and unstable objects to fly, reducing horizontal visibility at times, particularly in parts of South Al Batinah and North Al Sharqiyah governorates. Low clouds will continue to form along the coast of Dhofar Governorate.
As per the Oman Meteorology forecast, there will be a rise in cumulonimbus cloud formations over the Hajar Mountains and their vicinity, with chances of thunderstorms of varying intensity, some impacting valleys and wadis.
Expected weather conditions:
- Thunderstorms of varying intensity.
- Potential flow of valleys and reefs.
- Active winds and gusts.
- Decreased horizontal visibility.
- Occasional cold snaps.
