MUSCAT : These projects, totaling over 3.5 million Omani riyals, are reshaping tourist sites, road networks, lighting, and rainwater drainage, with impressive completion rates across the board.
Under the leadership of Dr Abdullah bin Muhammad Baaween, Director General of Projects and Technical Affairs in the Municipality of Dhofar, Mirbat’s landscape is undergoing a remarkable transformation. The Damar View project stands out with a staggering 98% completion rate, closely followed by the Agbeer Beach Area project at 85%.
The Mirbat Road Dualization Project, a 3.5-kilometer expansion is also slated for completion in early 2025. This project, with a price tag of nearly RO 2 million, promises enhanced traffic flow and safety with added traffic lights and drainage systems.

Tourism isn’t left behind. Agbeir Beach and Al-Dumr View Project are receiving major facelifts, boasting sports paths, play areas, restaurants, and stunning sea views.
Looking ahead, plans are underway for internal road construction, a slaughterhouse, and support for local entrepreneurs.
