LONDON: Britain will hold a general election on July 4 as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak looks to extend his party’s 14 years in power.
The 44-year-old made the announcement in Downing Street late on Wednesday as he prepared to visit King Charles III to formally ask permission to go to the country.
