MUSCAT : In his opening address, H.E. Dr. Al Mamari delivered greetings from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and emphasized the importance of the summit’s theme, ‘Promoting Unity and Solidarity through Dialogue for Sustainable Development’.

He called for deeper cooperation within the Islamic world to address common challenges and build a prosperous future.

H.E. Dr. Al Mamari highlighted the need to tackle issues like climate change, sectarian and religious divides, as well as digital, food, and drug gaps. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation based on justice to achieve sustainable development goals.

He highlighted Oman’s efforts to stop the war and its advocacy for the Palestinian cause in international forums.

The Minister emphasized the interconnectedness of the world and the need for a renewed commitment to shared values like humanity, morality, and compassion. He called for strengthening empathy and building a world based on justice, mercy, and peace.

The two-day conference addressed various topics, including the situation of Muslim minorities, combating hate speech and Islamophobia, and tackling economic, social, and cultural challenges. It also highlighted the importance of promoting dialogue among civilizations.
