Oman set to showcase tourism innovations at the Arabian Travel Market Exhibition 2024

DUBAI: Under the theme “Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship,” the delegation, led by His Excellency Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, is all set to unveil Oman’s tourism prowess and embrace the latest in travel technology.

Oman’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2024 signifies a strategic move to forge new partnerships, exchange knowledge, and showcase its growing tourism sector on the global stage. With over 36 companies joining the delegation, Oman aims to highlight its unique attractions, including the upcoming Khareef Dhofar season and summer promotional activities.

The exhibition, which will host more than 200 industry experts, will delve into key topics like artificial intelligence, aviation’s future, luxury tourism, and sustainability. Oman’s focus on sustainable tourism aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing a greener and more responsible travel ethos.

Haitham bin Muhammad Al-Ghassani, Director General of Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized Oman’s dedication to tourism development and economic diversification. With the tourism sector contributing 2.4% to GDP and witnessing a 36.7% increase in tourist arrivals in 2023, Oman’s strategic vision aims to position tourism as a vital economic pillar.
