Muscat: The Main Military Committee for Managing Emergency Situations of the Sultan’s Armed Forces reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens and residents in light of the upcoming weather condition’ Akhdul Al-Ikram.’ Led by Brigadier General Hamid bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, the committee reviewed the evolving weather situation and outlined strategic responses in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Representatives from the Sultan’s Armed Forces, Royal Guard of Oman, Sultan’s Special Force, Ministry of Defence’s Engineering Services, National Survey Authority, and Medical Services of the Armed Forces were present at the meeting. They collectively discussed the utilization of all available capabilities and resources to manage the weather impact effectively.
In line with the National Emergency Management Committee’s plan, the Sultan’s Armed Forces are poised to provide comprehensive support to government agencies and sectors during this critical period.

The committee also reviewed the meticulous preparations and measures taken since the ‘Akhdul Al-Ikram’ weather condition was announced. It confirmed the high readiness of all military formations and bases, aligning their efforts with the Ministry of Defence to extend necessary aid to citizens and residents based on the evolving situation’s requirements.
