MUSCAT : Since the enactment of Royal Decree No. (42/2021), which addresses the allocation of government lands; the Ministry has been proactive in offering housing solutions to eligible citizens while prioritizing family needs, a key aspect of Oman Vision 2040’s well-being and social protection objectives.
One notable initiative, “Choose Your Land,” empowers citizens to select suitable plots through interactive geographical maps, benefiting over 25,000 individuals in 2023 alone. This effort is complemented by initiatives like “Own Your Land,” offering government-subsidized plots in strategic locations with integrated services.
For areas outside traditional urban plans, the “Your Land Plans” initiative allows beneficiaries to designate suitable land in their villages or regions, promoting inclusivity and diverse housing options such as villas and apartments. Additionally, the Ministry introduced the “Future Cities” option, enabling citizens to participate in upcoming city projects like Sultan Haitham City.
