Muscat – Business leaders from Oman and the UAE anticipate the visit to pave the way for enhanced economic cooperation and foster deeper ties between the two brotherly countries.
Mustafa bin Ahmed Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Securities Company, hailed the visit as a testament to the robust fraternal relations between Oman and the UAE. He expressed hopes for the signing of various agreements and memorandums of understanding during the visit, emphasizing the UAE’s significance as a major partner across various economic sectors.
Highlighting the importance of the railway network project linking Oman and the UAE, he emphasized its potential to bolster trade exchanges and expedite goods transportation, particularly through Omani ports like Sohar Port. He also underscored the project’s role in reducing shipping costs and attracting more companies to leverage its benefits.
Honorable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Chairperson – Infrastructure, Technology, Industrial and Consumer Solutions (ITICS) of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC, lauded the existing economic relations between Oman and the UAE, which have facilitated investment opportunities and joint projects. She expressed optimism regarding the visit’s outcome, anticipating strengthened cooperation across various sectors.
Emirati businessman Sheikh Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bin Ham Group, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the visit’s potential to foster greater trade and investment collaboration between the two countries. He stressed the strategic nature of the bilateral relations and praised the investment-friendly environment in Oman.
Khalid bin Saif Al-Maamari, another prominent businessman, described the visit as a testament to the deep-rooted bonds between Oman and the UAE. He anticipated that it would significantly boost bilateral trade, underscoring the historic ties and mutual respect shared between the two nations.
He also lauded recent amendments in Oman’s business environment, particularly investment-related laws, which are expected to attract and compete effectively for investors. He commended the positive trajectory of Oman’s economy, aligning with the goals outlined in ‘Oman Vision 2040.’
