Muscat – Following are the updates from NCEM
Road Services: There are currently interruptions on some roads in Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Sharqiyah Governorates. Field response teams will address these issues once the immediate situation has stabilized.
Electricity: Power outages have been reported in Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Al Dhahirah. Field response teams are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Telecommunication services: A total of 46 telecommunication towers are affected across Muscat, Al Batinah South, Al Sharqiyah North, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and Musandam Governorates. Field response teams are working to bring these towers back online.
Waste Transportation: Outages on seven roads in Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Sharqiyah Governorates are slated for resolution by field response teams once direct impacts have subsided.
Water, Sanitation, and Fuel: No outages have been reported for water, sanitation, or fuel services at this time.
The National Committee for Emergency Management assures residents that they are prepared to address any impacts arising from the situation. Residents can report any issues to the previously announced call centers, which are operational 24/7.
