MUSCAT : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement released today, indicated that it is following with great interest the developments of military escalation in the region, the seriousness of its repercussions, and the importance of self-restraint to spare the region and its people from the dangers of war.
The Ministry reiterated Oman’s longstanding position on international law and diplomacy and called for strict adherence to international laws, urging the United Nations Security Council to take a more active role in maintaining global peace and security.
It also stressed again the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the opening of humanitarian and relief aid corridors to all parts of the Strip without obstacles.
