Music – In an exclusive interview with The Arabian Stories, Jihad shed light on his latest achievement in the South Indian film industry and his eagerly anticipated new song release.

Jihad expressed his excitement about his role as a singer in the film ‘The Goat Life,’ which is based on a true story. Recounting the inception of the project, he stated that he had received a call three years ago from Emirati director Hamad Al Riyami, who asked him if he was interested to work in a project with A. R. Rahman, who Jihad describes as “the greatest music director in the world – and my favorite.”
“I was not having any idea the song was composed by A.R. Rahman sir,” Jihad admitted, expressing his initial disbelief. Rahman’s assistant, Dilshaad, son of the Bollywood singer Shabbir Kumar, sent him the composition for the audition, which he recorded at the local Nota Art Production and Distribution Centre. Shortly, he got a reply that Rahman had accepted his voice for the song, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Acknowledging those responsible for his involvement in the project, Jihad credited Hamad Al Riyami, Dilshaad, and expressed special gratitude towards A.R. Rahman for accepting his voice.
Reflecting on his journey in the film industry, Jihad described it as a dream come true, especially upon seeing the first post of the movie. He disclosed that the film is based on a real story set in the Gulf region, prompting him to delve deeper into the narrative by reading the associated book and following media reports.
Regarding the film’s release in Oman, Jihad expressed uncertainty but assured that he would personally attend the premiere in Dubai and provide updates on any changes.
Jihad also shared insights into his upcoming song release, which holds special significance for him. The song, written and composed by Sahil Pindiwala, a renowned Pakistani singer, composer, lyricist and music teacher based in New York, carries a Punjabi touch and is arranged by Tariq Jalal.
To his fans eagerly awaiting the new release, Jihad assured that the song will be available on various music platforms and encouraged them to watch the music video on his YouTube channel, under the name Jihad Al Raisi Omani Singer.
