MUSCAT : This initiative aims to streamline the reservation process and accommodate the high demand from the public wishing to visit the museum during the holiday period.

Qasim bin Abdullah Al Fahdi, an official from the museum’s Office, highlighted the significance of launching the electronic reservation platform in response to visitors’ preferences, especially during peak times such as official holidays. The platform is expected to alleviate administrative and security measures required to manage large crowds effectively. The museum plans to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of this experience in collaboration with stakeholders.

To guide visitors through the reservation process, the museum will release a video explaining the electronic reservation mechanism across its various social media platforms. Additionally, visitors who prefer direct reservation can do so at the museum’s reception area.

Furthermore, in an effort to accommodate more visitors, the museum has extended its operating hours during the Eid holiday, from nine in the morning until seven in the evening.

During the Eid holiday, the museum will remain open on the second and third days, offering a range of activities from one in the afternoon until seven in the evening. These activities include theatrical performances, entertainment and cultural competitions for children, an Eid market showcasing products from small and medium enterprises, household and craft items, a photography corner, food stalls, and appearances by cartoon characters. The museum aims to provide a diverse and engaging experience for visitors, incorporating traditional arts and cultural elements.
