Muscat – Food truck operators currently stationed on Al Mouj Street will be required to relocate to the new Seeb Beach site. Unlicensed vendors will be granted a two-month grace period to obtain the necessary permits and join the new location.
This move comes as part of the municipality’s initiative to streamline the operations of street vendors while ensuring public health and safety.
As per an announcement from the Municipality, the site has been equipped with essential services, including dedicated cleaning staff to maintain hygiene standards, waste containers, and efficient waste transportation services. Additionally, a health control inspector will conduct regular visits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
One of the key features of the new location is its proximity to the Seeb market and its picturesque setting along the shoreline. Moreover, more than 180 parking spaces are available, facilitating convenience for both vendors and customers.
The initiative aims to create a conducive environment for street vendors to operate while addressing concerns related to cleanliness, hygiene, and public safety.
