MUSCAT : The resolution includes the addition of a College of Medicine and scientific research centers, with plans for study initiation pending Ministerial approval upon meeting requirements.
According to the resolution, Dhofar Private University will encompass various colleges, including the College of Commerce and Business Administration, the College of Arts and Applied Sciences, the College of Law, and the newly established College of Medicine.
Collaboration agreements signed between Sultan Qaboos University, Dhofar University, and the Ministry of Health underscore the concerted efforts to support the establishment and development of the College of Medicine at Dhofar University. The agreements outline plans for long-term support, curriculum development, quality assurance, and student evaluation systems, ensuring the rigorous academic standards required for medical education.
The partnership between the Ministry of Health and Dhofar University aims to facilitate practical training opportunities for College of Medicine students at prominent healthcare institutions such as Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah and Nizwa Hospital.
