MUSCAT : In a notice issued online, the Public Prosecution has highlighted the penalties for disturbances caused by unjustified shouting, noise, or the use of disruptive devices in public spaces.

It quoted Article 294/C of the Penal Code which specifies severe consequences for individuals found guilty of such offenses.

According to the code, offenders face imprisonment for a duration of three months and a fine of RO 300.
Earlier today, March 25, the Royal Oman Police arrested 15 individuals in two separate incidents of traffic violations and public disruptions.

While two citizens were arrested in Oman’s Dakhiliyah Governorate for violating traffic laws by using unlicensed motorcycles, engaging in behaviour contrary to public morals, and harassing fellow road users, 13 individuals were apprehended in South Al Batinah Governorate on charges of traffic violations, disturbing public comfort and tranquility, and endangering the lives of fellow road users.
