Muscat: The matches drew a massive crowd of spectators, adding to the festive spirit of the holiday.
In the first match between Imran X1 and Hala Cosmos, Imran X1 set a competitive total of 96 runs for 8 wickets, led by Imran himself with a stellar performance of 29 runs, including a boundary and three sixes. Shanu displayed excellent bowling skills, securing 2 wickets for 16 runs. However, Hala Cosmos easily chased the target, winning by 8 wickets. Shanu’s explosive batting earned him the well-deserved title of Man of the Match, scoring 30 runs off 9 balls with two sixes.


The second match featured the Pakistan Embassy against Gully Boys. The Embassy team struggled to post a competitive score of only 61 runs. Ravi from Gully Boys shined with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 7 runs. In response, Gully Boys swiftly chased down the target in 5.3 overs, with Aftab showcasing his batting prowess with an unbeaten 30 runs. Aftab’s impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Following the intense cricket action, a special celebration marked Pakistan National Day on 23rd March, as H.E Ali Imran Chawdhry and Dr. Tauqir Rizvi led a cake-cutting ceremony in front of an enthusiastic crowd, adding a festive touch to the sporting event.
