Oman police restricts truck movement during peak hours of Ramadan

The Royal Oman Police has issued a circular announcing restriction of truck movement during Ramadan to avoid possible traffic congestion.

MUSCAT : The directive, designed to serve the public interest and ensure smooth traffic flow, prohibits the passage of trucks on specified routes during peak hours.

According to the circular, truck movements will be restricted as follows:

Sunday to Thursday: 6:30 am to 9:30 am and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Saturday: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

These restrictions will apply to major roads in the Muscat Governorate, Al Dhakhiliyah Road (Muscat – Bidbid Bridge), and Al Batinah Highway (Muscat – Shinas).

The Royal Oman Police emphasizes the importance of adherence to these regulations for the safety and convenience of all road users. Truck drivers are urged to cooperate and comply with the specified timings and routes outlined in the circular.
