Muscat – The latest forecasts and analyses from the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center indicate the continuity of the impacts of varying intensity rainfalls, today, over the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Muscat, South Al Batinah, and Dhofar with chances for wadi flow.
In addition, isolated rain is expected over parts of the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, and the coastal areas of Al Wusta governorate.

The impacts are expected to gradually fade, starting from tomorrow, with chances of isolated rain over the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and the coasts of Dhofar.

This weather condition is expected to be accompanied by heavy to extremely heavy rainfall (10-50) that may lead to flash flooding in the valleys and watercourses. Besides, strong downdraft winds (15-30 knots) may result in the dispersion of loose materials; sea waves are expected to be rough (2.0-3.0) along most coastlines.
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precaution during rainfall and flash flood.
